Jaret Slipp is the Executive Director of Yukonstruct. Yukonstruct is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering an environment that helps entrepreneurs and makers take their ideas and turn them into reality. Yukonstruct operates four programs, Cospace, a co-working space where freelancers and entrepreneurs collaborate in a shared workspace; Makespace, a community makerspace where members have access to technology-driven and semi-industrial shops to create prototypes and tinker with new ideas; Launchspace, programs and services to help entrepreneurs launch their business idea; and Northlight Innovation, a new innovation hub for the north that houses these programs as well as partners such as Yukon College and Yukon Development Corporation. Prior to working for Yukonstruct, Jaret taught leadership on wilderness expeditions worldwide for 14 years. Jaret has lived in the Yukon for 18 years, has a wife and two young daughters, and loves the Yukon wilderness and community spirit.
